Terms of service

Short version: Grov is a tool, not a coach. Train at your own risk, respect the site, and read the fitness disclaimer below carefully.

1. What Grov is

Grov is a web app that helps you train with antagonist-pair workouts, rehab lists, warm-ups, and autoregulated targets. It is not a substitute for a coach, physiotherapist, or medical advice. We give you structure and suggestions; the judgement calls are yours.

2. Fitness disclaimer

Exercise carries inherent risk. Consult a qualified professional before starting any new programme, especially if you have injuries, chronic conditions, are pregnant, or are recovering from surgery.

Grov's prescriptions are estimates based on heuristics. You are responsible for your own form, load selection, and knowing when to stop. Warm up properly. Scale weight to what you can actually control. Stop if a rep feels wrong.

If something hurts the wrong way, stop. No target on this site is worth an injury. Pain that is sharp, sudden, or localised to a joint is a signal to rack the weight and reassess, not to push through.

3. Acceptable use

Personal, non-commercial use. Don't attempt to break the app, scrape the content at scale, reverse-engineer it to build a competing product, or use it in a way that violates local law. If you're a coach using Grov with your own clients informally, that's fine; redistributing our material as your own product is not.

4. Your content

Any data you enter (targets, rehab lists, notes) lives on your device. You own it. Grov has no access to it, no account backing it up, and no server storing it. If you clear your browser data, it's gone.

5. Intellectual property

The site code, design, copy, exercise curation, and insights articles are Grov's. You can link to the site freely and quote short passages with attribution. You can't republish large sections, mirror the app, or package our material into your own product without permission.

6. No warranty

Software is provided "as is." We make no guarantees of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. As permitted by law, all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed.

7. Limitation of liability

As permitted by law, Grov is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, including injury, lost earnings, or lost data. This does not limit liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct where such limitation is prohibited by law.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be flagged via a banner on your next visit. Continued use of the site after a change counts as acceptance of the new terms. If you don't accept them, stop using the site.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Grov's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes that can't be resolved informally fall under the courts of that same jurisdiction.
